Plenty of hugs and rubs. All animals need to be pampered.

For itchy tails mix equal parts of Listerine mouth wash (original formula) and cheap baby oil in a spray bottle. Spray on and finger comb it through to the roots. This mixture seems to keep the flies away and the baby oil also softens the hair and moisturizes the tail bone skin.

Baby wipes to give your horse that extra shine or can be used for around the face and genital areas, without irritation, to clean up before a show. Especially in the winter if you have no wash stall.

Squeaking western saddle

Turn saddle upside down and apply lots of baby powder.

Keeping legs clean before a show

After your horse's feet are clipped, cleaned and polish has been applied to the hooves, buy

some cheap ankle high panyhose, pull up over hoof and part of leg.   Helps to keep legs clean.

Longitudinal Balance
To improve the longitudinal balance of a horse, the rider (or can be done on a lunge line) repeatedly asks the horse for up and down transitions, frequently (or within a five stride time frame). Such as Walk-Trot-Walk-Trot-Walk-Trot. This teaches the horse to keep a majority of his weight in his hind quarters. Helping to assist him in keeping weight off of the front end, and/or the Bridle.

Cuts and burns

The best thing i have found for fast healing of cuts and burns on horses and dogs is lucas papaw ointment.
